Hi. I’m Daniel Kehoe and I produce macro images from nature photography. My approach revolves around exploring interesting elements in photos that evoke emotional responses.
For these galleries I experimented with using phone cameras. Flowers were the primary subject matter. This is a first-time experiment for me … very spontaneous.
Modern phone cameras often alter photos before they are saved, with steps like distortion correction, color enhancement and image sharpening. These are usually done automatically before the phone saves the final image. I used these images and cropped and occasionally rotated them, though no other edits were made and no filters were applied.
